OUR STORY

Unlocking potential through creativity

The PIECES Project is a not-for-profit social enterprise supporting young people to thrive through creativity, wellbeing and enterprise.

We design and deliver hands-on workshops that help young people build confidence, develop essential life skills and discover new pathways into education, employment and enterprise — particularly for those who may otherwise be overlooked.

Everything we do is rooted in creativity, sustainability and care. And every penny we make goes back into supporting more young people.

WHY  WE STARTED

The PIECES Project began in 2022 with a simple but powerful belief: creativity can change lives.

Our founder, Sami Lovett, is a product designer and business owner who spent over a decade working in schools. Time and again, she saw young people disengaged not because they lacked ability — but because they lacked opportunity, confidence, and connection to real-world skills.

At the same time, Sami witnessed the transformative impact creativity can have on mental health, wellbeing and self-belief.

PIECES was created to bridge that gap — helping young people turn ideas into tangible outcomes, and creativity into skills they can carry forward into life and work.
